Protective Enclosures Company Secures IP55 Rating and Now Houses an Industry-First 85 in. TV or Display
ORLANDO, Fla., May 22, 2017 - Protective Enclosures Company (PEC), the industry leader in indoor and outdoor TV and display enclosures, is proud to announce that in addition to recently securing a very high IP55 rating on The Display Shield commercial enclosure line, they now have an industry - first enclosure for protection of an 85" TV or display in indoor/outdoor harsh environments with The TV Shield PRO series product line.

The Display Shield enclosure was put through rigorous environmental testing at the independent laboratory CertifiGroup, a division of MET Laboratories, to certify the product to international (IEC) IP5X and IPX5 standards. IP5X is dust intrusion testing where the enclosures are mounted within a chamber while dust is maintained in suspension using high-powered fans blowing in all directions. IPX5 testing utilizes high-powered water jets from all directions. PEC's unit passed both tests with flying colors.
