Rockwell Automation Introduces New Protective Cover Accessory for NEMA Starters and Contactors



MILWAUKEE, Jan. 28, 2003 - A new power component solution introduced by Complete Automation® leader Rockwell Automation helps increase employee safety by providing a unique protective cover for NEMA starters and contactors. The protective cover is designed to help prevent accidental contact with current-carrying components, including line and load side terminals, coil terminals and single block auxiliary contacts.

The protective cover features a flexible design that allows users to easily retrofit installed contactors and starters. Upgrades are fast and simple and can be installed without removing existing wiring. Once attached, the cover becomes an integral part of the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 500 line of starters and contactors.

The cover's protective design does not compromise accessibility. With the cover accessory in place, the starters and contactors are still easy to wire and mount. The cover is designed to allow users easy access to terminal screws or lugs for wiring, continuity testing and other maintenance.
