ProStor InfiniVault Key to Integrated Imaging's Success in Government Document Imaging Market

ProStor InfiniVault enabling reseller to expand into new market frontiers

BOULDER, CO - August 20, 2010 - ProStor Systems, the leader in enterprise-class removable disk storage systems for business backup, archiving, and retention management, announced today that Integrated Imaging, a document management solutions provider and service bureau in Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, has made significant sales inroads to the state and local governments with ProStor InfiniVault®.

"Today's computer technology like the ProStor InfiniVault has virtually eliminated the problems that were associated with throughput speeds, scalability, technology obsolescence and reliability of early legacy optical and tape archival systems, and has opened up opportunities for us in a variety of new markets," said Jack Lemmers, vicepresident of Integrated Imaging. "ProStor InfiniVault's use of both online and RDX removable disk technology provides the benefits of removable media with the performance advantages of disk in a single architecture and its forward compatibility seamlessly leverages new capacity points as they evolve - a strong value proposition to our customer base."

Integrated Imaging recently sold a ProStor InfiniVault Model 30 for primary storage and the Model 100 for backup storage to the local government of Waukesha County, Wisconsin to replace their aging Plasmon optical disc systems. The county needed fast secure storage for all of the county's documents as well as providing secure storage for vital reports from the sheriff's department and court system documents from the District Attorney. ProStor InfiniVault fulfilled the county's technical and performance requirements, while allowing them to easily move away from the dated optical disc jukebox technology. "We needed a non-volatile magnetic solution to replace the three optical jukeboxes without a disruption to the work¬flow and the system had to be available at all times," noted Dave Kragenbrink, solutions administrator of Waukesha County. "The ProStor InfiniVault Model 30 is installed onsite with a real-time mirror to the Model 100 offsite, which is used for disk-to-disk backup. The ProStor solution has proven to be very robust and allows us to recover disk space after the desired retention period, which is a significant improvement over the optical disc technology. Moreover with ProStor InfiniVault, our image retrieval times shrank considerably to sub-two seconds compared to up to 20 seconds previously with the Plasmon system."

"ProStor InfiniVault is ideal for addressing applications requiring very fast access, capacity scaling, immutability, regulation compliance, permanent retention and ease of backup," added Lemmers. "We have installed multiple systems into local governments for document storage, but also see opportunities in medical imaging, email archiving and law enforcement requiring large repositories for secure video storage. No other technology compares with ProStor InfiniVault and it has proven to be a very important part of our business."

"Integrated imaging's adoption and ongoing sales success with ProStor InfiniVault validates its technology advantages over legacy optical and tape systems," concluded Frank Harbist, president and CEO of ProStor Systems. "Our technology provides outstanding price/performance and capacity value over time because you don't have ongoing investments due to drive obsolescence the way you would with tape or optical storage."
