Proportional Valves create no sliding friction.

Press Release Summary:

Proportional valves are offered with orifice sizes ranging from 0.032 to 0.625 in. They have 250 Hz frequency response, and some models are UL approved for hazardous locations. Performing well with high or low pressure drops, valves utilize isolation diaphragm that separates working fluid from coil and armature. Available valve material includes hard black anodized aluminum or stainless steel with nitrile or fluorocarbon® elastomeric components.

Proportional Valves

To meet the growing demand for compact, high performance proportional valves, Teknocraft, Inc. has expanded its proportional valve line to offer orifice sizes ranging from 0.032 to 0.625 inch. Some models are UL approved for hazardous locations. All the valves in this line feature an unequaled 250 Hertz frequency response. Performing well with high or low pressure drops; these valves are suitable for a variety of applications including medical, industrial controls, fuel cells, energy cogeneration and alternative fuels.

An isolation diaphragm separates the working fluid from the coil and armature. This limits the fluid path exclusively to the poppet area making these valves suitable for both gasses and liquids. The valves come in either hard black anodized aluminum or stainless steel with nitrile or flourocarbon® elastomeric components. Other materials can be special ordered.

With no rubbing contact surfaces, these 2-way poppet valves create no sliding friction. As a result, they can operate on a straight DC electrical signal with no dithering required.

Teknocraft's proportional flow control valves feature a 250-Hertz frequency response, low hysteresis, isolation diaphragm and a patented armature design which eliminates sliding friction. These features combine to produce 2-way solenoid valves that perform well at low pressure drops, do not require pulse width modulation, can operate on a straight DC signal and are suitable for both gasses and liquids.
