Promedico ASP Application Makes Patient Files Available via the Internet; VASCO Strong Authentication Secures the Confidentiality of the Medical Files

Promedico-ASP makes patient files available for general practitioners over the Internet. Because Promedico hosts patient files on a central server, medical practitioners can use the Internet to add, change and check information about their patients. In addition, the users can authorise other parties to enter the secured network. For access to the patient files over the Internet, the use of Digipass 300 is mandatory.
The PIN-protected Digipass 300 provides organizations with a secure means of customer or employee identification and authentication for remote access to their computer systems and networks. Authentication functionalities embedded in Digipass 300 include One-time Password, Challenge-Response, host authentication and e-signatures. VACMAN Controller is VASCO's authentication backbone. Installed at the server side, the software product coordinates all Digipass client authentication products. VACMAN Controller seamlessly supports over 40 soft- and hardware Digipass authentication tools.
