Programmable Tilt Switch offers ±45° sensing range.

Press Release Summary:

Single-Axis Model MCL combines microprocessor-based electronics and MCL TrueTILT(TM) Sensor in high-impact case. It features +4.5-28 V single power supply, as well as unidirectional and bi-directional open collector outputs. Non-mercury, field-settable switch avoids wide hysteresis errors caused by temperature in most mercury and gravity ball switches. It can be configured by factory or user for trip points at any angle through ±45°.

New Programmable Tilt Switch Combines Microprocessor-Based Electronics and MCL Truetilt(TM) Sensor in a Compact Plastic Case

The Fredericks Company, a leading ISO 9001:2000 manufacturer of precision sensors, has announced availability of their new MCL Single Axis Programmable Tilt Switch.

A combination of microprocessor-based electronics and MCL TrueTILT(TM) Sensor in a compact, high-impact case. The tilt switch features a +4.5 to +28 volt single power supply, ±45° sensing range, and unidirectional and bi-directional open collector outputs. The switch's simple design provides the user with a nonmercury, field-settable switch solution that avoids wide hysteresis errors caused by temperature in most mercury and gravity ball switches.

Easily configured by the factory or the user for trip points at any angle thru ±45°, the switch is cost effective for both prototype and production requirements such as vehicle tip-over protection/warning, alarm system activation, structural threshold monitoring, and safety cut-off switches.
