Press Release Summary:
Model A1388LLHLX-2-T linear ICs feature magnetic input sensitivity of 2.5 mV/G, and A1389LLHLX-9-T units have 9 mV/G sensitivity, both with refresh rate of 20 KHz. Featuring -9 mV/G sensitivity, A1389LLHLX-RP9-T ICs provide output noise of 15 mV (p-p) at their programmed sensitivity level. All three ICs are available in SOT-23W SMT package and are suited for automotive and industrial markets.
Original Press Release:
Allegro MicroSystems, LLC Adds Two New Devices to Their Existing Linear Hall IC Portfolio
ICs Provide Low Noise, Temperature Stable Analog Outputs for High Bandwidth Automotive Applications, Including a 9 mV/G Sensitivity Device
Worcester, MA – Allegro MicroSystems, LLC adds two new factory one-time programmable (OTP-ROM) linear ICs to their existing portfolio. These devices eliminate the need for customers to optimize/program the devices for their finished sensor assemblies. Allegro's A1388 and A1389 architecturally have the ability to support a magnetic input sensitivity range of 2.0 to 4.0 mV/G, and 4.0 to 9.0 mV/G, respectively. However, the A1388 and A1389 devices initially being released to market are factory programmed to specific magnetic input sensitivity levels. Initially released device types include:
A1388LLHLX-2-T with 2.5 mV/G sensitivity
A1389LLHLX-9-T with 9 mV/G sensitivity
A1389LLHLX-RP9-T with -9 mV/G sensitivity
The temperature coefficients for both sensitivity and the quiescent voltage output (QVO) are programmed over temperature at Allegro to maximize accuracy and minimize distribution tolerances. The A1388 and A1389 provide low output noise (15 mV (p-p) @ 9.0 mV/G sensitivity for the A1389) and improved EMI susceptibility at various frequencies. They also support a fast refresh rate of 20 KHz for high bandwidth applications.
The A1388 and A1389 are targeted at the automotive, industrial and consumer markets and are currently being offered in a small LH (SOT-23W) surface mount package.
