Programmable Limit Switch offers .088 deg repeatability.

Press Release Summary:

Compact multifunction PLS 1000 provides direct remote control of timing and dwell settings in applications that require events to occur in specific sequence. Microcomputer-based switch has brushless resolvers for absolute position feedback, 8 inputs and 16 programable high power outputs. Ten independent programs can be stored, changed, and initiated via splash-proof tactile keyboard, or RS232C serial communication ports.

New Multifunction Programable Limit Switch

A new compact, multifunction, Programable Limit Switch designed to out perform and replace trouble prone, electro-mechanical and rotary cam limit switch systems and a drum timer has been introduced by Computer Conversions Corporation. The Programable Limit Switch provides direct remote control of timing and dwell settings in machine applications that require certain events to occur in a specific predetermine sequence. The PLS1000 is a powerful microcomputer-based limit switch that uses reliable brush less resolvers for absolute position feedback, with eight inputs and 16 function programable high power outputs. Repeatability is .088 deg with a 5Usec. throughout, operation up to 3000 rpms.

Ten independent programs can be stored, changed, and initiated with the splash-proof tactile keyboard, or via one of its two RS232C serial communication ports.

Standard features also included are: nonvolatile memory, multiple on/off dwell limits on every output; programable: event timers, scale factor, position offsets, circuit offset, force output functions, five digit parts counter, tach output, high and low speed limits, five speed auto-advance and a brilliant multipurpose fluorescent readout. Size is 4.5"H x 6.25"W x 7.25"D panel mounting.

Available options include Heavy-Duty Linear, Rotary, Multi-Turn and Explosion-Proof feedback transducers, Nema 13 control enclosures, relay I/O boards, and RS422/485 multi-drop interface adapters.
