Programmable Field Controller offers distributed control.

Press Release Summary:

Programmable Field Controller (PFC) combines fieldbus coupler functionality with that of PLCs. Users can store and execute programs locally, while still communicating I/O signals to and from network. Program execution continues, even if fieldbus connection is lost. Using IEC-1131-3 programming standards, programmers have access to all fieldbus and I/O data. PFC is available for Ethernet, DeviceNET, PROFIBUS, MODBUS, CANopen, and Interbus.

WAGO Programmable Field Controller Offers Flexible, Distributed Control

Germantown, WI - The WAGO Programmable Field Controller (PFC) combines the fieldbus coupler functionality with that of Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs). Via the network or locally, users can now download simple logic control into each I/O node.
Using IEC-1131-3 programming standards, programmers have access to all fieldbus and I/O data. The result is decentralized control that improves support for a PLC or PC.

With the WAGO PFC, users can store and execute programs locally, while still communicating I/O signals to and from the network. Program execution continues, even if the fieldbus connection is lost. The WAGO PFC is available for Ethernet, DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, MODBUS, CANopen, and Interbus and it is 100% compatible with the complete WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM.

WAGO is the worldwide leader in spring pressure termination technology. Since it was formed in 1951, WAGO's core business has been the design, manufacture and marketing of an increasingly wide range of highly innovative terminal blocks and connectors featuring the company's unique Cage-Clamp connection technology. WAGO also specializes in DIN rail mounted fieldbus independent I/O systems, custom electronics and factory automation products.
