ProfiMessage Is Delphin's Latest Cutting-Edge System

New Data Acquisition, Monitoring and Automation Solution

CHESTERLAND OH - CAS DataLoggers has partnered with Delphin Technology to offer the new Delphin ProfiMessage system, the latest high-speed, precision solution for data acquisition, industrial process monitoring, and automation of machinery and test stands. ProfiMessage is a state-of-the-art modular measurement system that utilizes master and slave devices along with a range of different I/O modules to easily adapt to any task. Wide areas of application range from remote monitoring, fault troubleshooting, reliability testing, process and laboratory data acquisition, and test stand automation. The ProfiMessage uses an industrial-grade, compact modular design for easy cabinet installation while offering users intuitive configuration and operation.

These sophisticated systems feature intelligent Ethernet connectivity and data pre-processing, with flexible I/O modules to provide a broad range of process interface options. Profibus-DP, Modbus or CAN-bus interfaces enable connections to PLC control systems for data exchange. The four serial interfaces can function under different protocols, allowing communications with different types of equipment. An expansion bus allows up to 20 slave devices to connect to the master device enabling systems with hundreds of channels.

The ProfiMessage system can function as a powerful intelligent data logger, with its analog and digital sensor signals recording data simultaneously to up to 16GB of internal memory, enabling subsequent data analysis and evaluation of up to several billion data measurement points. Measurement data is stored with extremely high time resolution, making it particularly suited for fault identification and diagnostics systems. ProfiMessage systems operate over a temperature range of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F). USB and Ethernet interfaces provide convenient data accessibility. Data may be copied to a USB memory stick for offline analysis or viewed online via the Ethernet interface, either manually or automatically according to preset time plans. Modems can also be attached so that users can utilize the ProfiMessage as a fully-independent monitoring system for remote machinery and vehicles.

Inputs and outputs are galvanic ally isolated, providing isolation from channel to channel, from the power supply and from the PC. This unique system architecture prevents damaging ground loops and enables problem-free measurements. Depending on the type of I/O module used, each precision, differential input can be configured separately to measure mV, mA, RTDs, and all types of thermocouples. ProfiMessage is also equipped with digital inputs functioning as status or frequency inputs, as well as with digital and analog outputs. This modular system can be used as a monitoring device for process and vibration signals. Configuration of ProfiMessage devices is performed using the Configurator software included with the system, which gives users a clear overview of channels with user-friendly Windows Explorer-style operation.

Monitoring and automation tasks are performed using ProfiMessage internal software channels, pre-defined function modules that users generate, configure and then run within the device. These channels also enable functions including threshold value monitoring, mathematical integration, and online computations. Users can program their own monitoring or record-keeping systems into the device without needing any IT expertise, quickly and effectively deploying the ProfiMessage for their daily operations. All functions are performed autonomously by the powerful internal processor, guaranteeing full operational security.

ProfiMessage's LAN interface maximizes data accessibility and transmits all measurement data online, including software channels, at high speed via Intranet or Internet. Any networked PC can then access the ProfiMessage via this interface. Additional TCP services such as NTP, FTP, HTTP and SFPMP etc. are also available. The device's internal data memory can also be read out via LAN.
