Clausing Introduces Equiptop PNC Precision Profile Grinders with Multiple Depth & Distance Operation
Clausing Industrial, Inc. has introduced a series of Clausing/Equiptop PNC Precision Profile Grinders with multiple depth and multiple distance operation. The grinders feature an easy to learn PNC (Programmable Numerical Control). The Man-Machine conversational diagram data input software permits the operator to setup the grinder for a new workpiece in minutes. A unique feature is the longitudinal servo hydraulic control system that allows slow movement from either direction for big downfeeds at slow table movements. Standard functions include, surface grinding with cross step feed, constant feed and three-step downfeed, two-step downfeed plunge grinding, groove bottom surface grinding with cross step feed, constant feed and two-step downfeed, and multi-plunge grinding for unequal distance and unequal depth, concave and convex. Trapezoidal workpieces can be ground using a CBN forming wheel, forming device or on-table wheel dressing attachment.
Clausing/Equiptop PNC grinders are available in five sizes ranging from a 10" x 20" table to a 16" x 40" table, with longitudinal table movements (hydraulic) from 22.75" to 41.73", automatic cross transverse travels from 10.63" to 19.92", and standard wheel diameters from 8" to 14".
