KDF® 85 Process Medium Removes/Reduces Iron and Hydrogen Sulfide
KDF Fluid Treatment, Inc. (Three Rivers, MI) offers KDF® 85 Process Medium, which removes or reduces iron and hydrogen sulfide from ground and other water supplies. KDF 85 Medium is a point-of-entry (POE) treatment of groundwater supplies that can be used alone or to protect existing water filtration/purification technologies. It also controls scale, bacteria, fungi and algae, making it ideal for use in granular activated carbon (GAC) beds, ion exchange resins, carbon block filters and inline carbon filters.
KDF 85 Process Medium is a high-purity formulation of copper-zinc alloy that reduces contaminants such as iron and hydrogen sulfide by a process known as redox, or oxidation-reduction. During redox, free electrons are transferred between molecules, turning substances that were previously harmful into benign substances. KDF 85 Medium can remove up to 98% of water-soluble lead, mercury, nickel, chromium and other dissolved metals. The medium is also 100% recyclable and has no chemical additives.
