Yokogawa Introduces New Loop Powered Process Indicators
Newnan, Georgia - Yokogawa Corporation of America announces the introduction of two new loop powered process indicators for use in hazardous locations or severe environments. Both the analog (MLA series) and digital (MLD series) process indicators are housed in a NEMA 4X case and can be mounted on a 2" horizontal or vertical pipe. Wall mounting is also available. These devices are typically used to monitor 4-20mA process inputs from 2 wire transmitters and provide real-time indication of parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature or liquid-level. These local measurements are particularly useful when performing maintenance or troubleshooting a process malfunction.
The MLA and MLD models are designed for use in hazardous locations. This type of protection is defined as explosion-proof for Class I, Division 1, Groups A, B, C, D: dust-ignition proof Class II/III, Division 1, Groups E, F, G. Both FM (Factory Mutual) and CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approvals are currently pending.
Custom scaling for both analog and digital loop powered process indicators is available as an option from Yokogawa. Standard devices are scaled for 0-100% proportional to the input, which is generally 4-20mA. However, 1-5V and 10-50mA inputs are also available for the MLA series only.
