Spirit® 2100 Portable Printing System
April 18, 2003 -- Milwaukee, WI - HellermannTyton, a global manufacturer of network cabling and identification solutions, introduces the Spirit® 2100 portable printing system which efficiently creates durable, smudge resistant, thermal transfer printed labels. The completely portable, battery powered Spirit system is extremely functional and productive to use in the field, helping to dramatically decrease labor time in label creation and installation. A roll of labels prints continuously at 1.5" per second, which is approximately 4x faster than tape printers. Also, the Spirit labels are die cut, eliminating the need to cut individual labels to separate them. Featuring a "What You See is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) design and creation interface on a LCD screen, users can easily configure different text sizes, graphics, bar codes, serial numbers and more. The Spirit's RS232 communications port allows for interfacing between the label printer and a P.C. Label designs, graphics, and other label information is easily stored and shared. Label materials include self-laminating vinyl for wire and cable, white and metalized polyester for component marking, and tamper evident materials for calibration and security labeling. The Spirit printer comes with a hard shell case, rechargeable battery and charger, CD Rom tutorial, and other accessories for a full labeling package.
