Tally Introduces T2240 and T2340 Serial Dot Matrix Printer for Reliable, Fast Transaction Printing Printers are Designed to Handle High-Volume Multi-Part Form Printing Quickly and Dependably
KENT, Wash., March 25, 2003 - Tally Printer Corporation today delivered the best option for transaction printing available on the market with the launch of its new T2240 and T2340 serial dot matrix printers. These affordable printers are designed to handle the rugged work environments needed for multi-part form printing, while delivering output at the fast speed necessary for mission-critical printing.
Designed for industrial strength forms printing, the T2240 and T2340 feature unique flat push tractors that drive forms on an uncommonly straight paper path ensuring jam-free operation. With the push tractors readily accessible at the front of the printer, and a platen knob for easy forms adjustment, paper loading is quick and down time minimal.
Among the other paper-handling features available on the T2240 and T2340 are:
o Ability to print up to 6-part forms (available on the T2240)
o Standard front load single sheet feed; an additional 150-page sheet feeder is optional
o Zero tear-off means no wasted forms, cutting down on the cost of ownership
o A second lower tractor is an available option
o A platen knob that makes form adjustment simple
The T2240 and T2340 series printers also include performance features that meet the needs of their customers. They print at speeds up to 500 characters per second, and are durable enough to print 10,000 pages per month. The T2240 model offers a small footprint (80-columns) and handles up to 6-part forms, while the 24-pin configurations provide excellent print quality.
