Zebra Introduces 110XiIIIPlus Printer

First High-Performance Printer Under $3,000 for Labels up to 4-Inches Wide

Vernon Hills, Ill., May 5, 2003-Zebra Technologies (Nasdaq: ZBRA), a global leader in delivering on-demand printing solutions for business improvement, today unveils an addition to the XiIIIPlus family of rugged, high-performance thermal printers. The new 110XiIIIPlus combines mission critical reliability and increased flexibility-with a U.S. list price of $2995.

As the first Xi series model with true 4-inch wide printing, the 110XiIIIPlus is built to withstand the harshest environments and comes in a choice of three print resolutions to match end-users' applications.

o 203 dpi-10 ips print speed and 4.09-inch print width
o 300 dpi-8 ips print speed and 4.09-inch print width
o 600 dpi-4 ips print speed and 3.20-inch print width

The 110XiIIIPlus offers all of the high-quality features and benefits of the Xi series, including reduced space symbology (RSS) capabilities. RSS is ideal for helping pharmaceutical manufacturers meet the FDA's new proposed rule for unit-of-use marking. Higher-resolution, high-density printing also makes the 110XiIIIPlus with 300- or 600- dpi well suited for electronics and medical device labeling.

The 110Xi also includes a standard USB port for faster connectivity and "Plug N Play" capabilities and gives users 300 unique darkness settings for greater thermal ribbon flexibility and print control on synthetic materials.

Building on the strength and features that Zebra channel partners and end-users have come to expect from Zebra's XiIIIPlus printers, the 110XiIIIPlus includes:

o An enhanced main logic board;
o 32-bit processor;
o 16MB SDRAM;
o 4MB Flash memory;
o ZebraLink control and maintenance capabilities;
o Optional ZebraNet Wireless Card Socket;
o Optional Internal ZebraNet PrintServer II; and
o Industry-leading support and service

With the successful introduction of the 110Xi, Zebra will discontinue the 300-dpi 90XiIIIPlus and 600-dpi 96XiIIIPlus by the end of 2003. By streamlining the product line, Zebra is able to offer the 110Xi at an exceptional price so that more companies can experience the freedom and productivity improvements that come from owning Zebra's top-of-the-line Xi Series printers.

List prices for the 110XiIIIPlus begin at $2,995 for 200 dpi, $3,195 for 300 dpi, and $4,995 for 600 dpi.
