Weber Offers New Zebra Print Engines for Model 5200 Series Label Printer-Applicators

Arlington Heights, IL-Weber Marking Systems, Inc., now offers two additional Zebra print engines for use with its Model 5200 label printer-applicator. Designed, engineered, and built exclusively by Weber, the Model 5200 addresses the requirements of a broad range of labeling applications.

Each system includes a choice of a high-density, on-demand thermal/thermal-transfer printer that provides crisp text, in-spec bar codes, and graphics. The new Zebra Pax3 printers are available in 203- or 300-dpi models and accommodate pressure-sensitive labels up to 6.0" wide at speeds up to 12" per second.

Model 5200 Series systems offer a choice of three application methods: air blow, flex-tamp, or tamp-blow. All methods provide precise label placement of ±0.06" and are capable of applying labels to the top, bottom, or sides of a product or carton.

The systems feature several options designed to maximize versatility. A quick-change tamp pad allows the system to be easily adjusted to accommodate different label sizes. With the product height sensor, the units label items of varying height running along the same conveyor.

The Model 5200 Series also is ruggedly constructed to tolerate harsh industrial environments, with vital components housed inside a corrosion-resistant stainless steel cabinet.

Weber's print-apply software further simplifies labeling by guiding users through the design and editing of labels. Plus, Weber manufactures a wide range of system-compatible pressure-sensitive labels and printer ribbons.
