RF Enabled Printer Applicator

FOX IV Technologies, Inc. introduces the world's first RF enabled Label Printer Applicator for industrial environments. The NEW 5143 RF Label Printer Applicator can read, write, print AND APPLY ultra-thin RFID labels. These labels incorporate integrated transponder circuits than can be read, programmed and re-programmed using radio waves, thus enabling information to be changed or updated throughout the product or shipping unit lifecycle.

This type of print and apply unit is possible only through the unique and advanced engineering capabilities of FOX IV Technologies. The 5143RF incorporates the innovative Zebra R-140 RFID Smart Label Printer and Encoder printing/encoding technology with the reliable, industrial construction of a FOX IV Label Printer-Applicator. This combination, along with the RFID technology it utilizes, makes the unit ideal for manufacturing, warehousing and distribution applications as well as tracking applications such as re-usable container tracking, work-in-process, inventory control, and package/cargo tracking.

The 5143RF can print and apply RFID labels up to 5.04"/128 mm wide from a large 16"/406 mm diameter roll at 203 dpi resolution. The unit features a centralized control panel for both printer and application function for ease of use and system integration. The highly visible backlit screen on the simple soft-touch keypad enables the user to set operational parameters such as timing settings and printer configuration quickly and easily. Pneumatic adjustments are made by using the adjustment knobs on the centralized control panel, which can be rotated for maximum functionality in various application orientations. Additionally, the label and ribbon paths are screened directly onto the center wall for fast operator reference and consumable changes.

The model 5143 RF is built utilizing FOX IV's rugged Uniwall(TM) construction. This means that critical components, including print engine components and label/ribbon guides are mounted onto a machined metal center wall, providing accurate label web feeding and a robust, industrial design. A unique feature of this design is the Swing-Away Cylinder(TM) assembly, which allows unobstructed access to the print engine for fast label and ribbon changes and routine maintenance. The print engine safety guard protects the print engine from contaminants such as dust and other air-borne particles improving the printhead life.

The FOX IV model 5143 RF label printer applicator easily integrates with scanners, verifiers, external PLC's, scales, mainframes and material handling equipment, and other devices to provide a complete turnkey system.
