HBM Launches Highly Reliable Pressure Transmitter
The new one-piece steel P2V pressure transmitter from HBM is aimed at users needing high reliability combined with exceptional accuracy.
The design of the P2V is similar to HBM's proven Blueline series because the monolithic measuring body eliminates welded seams and clamped connections connecting to the measurement medium. This eliminates weak spots even when subjected to strong dynamic loads.
With an accuracy class of 0.2, the P2V series comprises six models with pressure ranges from 200 to 5,000 bar.
HBM's P2V pressure transmitter combines high reliability with a long service life so that the transmitters need replacing far less frequently than similar transmitters.
A high-quality, low-noise amplifier has been integrated into the P2V and TEDS transducer identification is included as standard. This means that the most important technical data is electronically stored in the transducer.
The P2V is ideal for a wide range of applications, including many hydraulic applications and gas measurements. The transducer can be also used for precise process analysis and for fast control loops since short-duration pressure peaks are reliably mapped.
The P2V includes higher measuring ranges for high-pressure applications such as internal high pressure forming and water jet cutting. During water jet cutting, for example, the P2V ensures optimum work piece quality with potential feed and wear adjusted on the machine.
