Redesigned Industrial Pressure Transmitter Series Offers Improved Temperature & Performance Characteristics, New Compact Design

Winchester, MA, May 17, 2005 - - - Gefran ISI, Inc. announces the release of its new TK Series industrial pressure transmitters. These newly redesigned models replace the company's TKF and TKG pressure transmitter series, and offer users enhanced temperature and performance characteristics in a more compact design.

Built to handle demanding hydraulic, pneumatic and process measurement applications, the TK Series pressure transmitters use highly stable electronic components that enable top performance in smart control systems or applications requiring long distance signal transmission. Gefran's TK Series provides highly accurate and stable pressure measurement at a cost-effective price, making it an ideal choice for OEM applications.

Significant product design and performance enhancements include:

· Smaller transmitter size for easy installation - 0.20"smaller than previous model.
· Insensitive to mounting torque - negates need for trimmer adjustment of zero output.
· Faster response time of < 1 mS for better performance in dynamic pressure conditions. In comparison, response times of previous models were 4 mS (Model TKF/G-N) and 8 mS (Model TKF/G-E).
· Choice of six different electrical connector options.
· Maximum, non-compensated temperature exposure up to 221°F, compared to 176°F for TKF and TKG.

Gefran's rugged pressure transmitters maintain accuracy and stability in spite of mechanical shock and vibration, RFI, corrosive media and other extremes common in industrial environments. The TK Series conforms to CE standards and also provides IP65/IP67 protection. A choice of 5 Vdc, 10 Vdc or 4 to 20 mA outputs is offered, and accuracy is 0.3% of full-scale output. For maximum flexibility, all industry-standard process and electrical connections are available and pressure ranges are from vacuum to 0 - 7,500 psi.

The TK Series is part of Gefran's family of industrial pressure transducers and transmitters which includes models with accuracies up to 0.15% full scale, pressure ranges from vacuum up to 70,000 psi, and a wide range of outputs, electrical connectors and pressure fittings for maximum application flexibility. Intrinsically safe and flush diaphragm models are also available.

ABOUT GEFRAN
GEFRAN was founded in the 1970s. Today, the GEFRAN Group is a leading supplier in the field of automation and process control of plastics processing machinery for extrusion and injection molding.

GEFRAN ISI Inc., located in Winchester, Massachusetts, is the group's North American headquarters and manufacturing base. Formerly Industrial Sensors Inc. (ISI), the company joined the GEFRAN Group in 1999 bringing more than 25 years of expertise in the development and manufacturing of melt pressure transducers and instrumentation for extrusion processing. GEFRAN SPA is located in Italy and is the GEFRAN Group's headquarters and primary manufacturing facility. Manufacturing operations in both France and Brazil, and GEFRAN companies in Germany, UK, Switzerland and The Netherlands support GEFRAN SPA.

Today, GEFRAN manufactures complete control systems as well as components such as temperature and pressure indication and control instrumentation; temperature, position, melt and industrial pressure sensors; solid-state relays; humidity sensors and load cells. In addition to plastics processing, GEFRAN's instruments and integrated systems are used in a wide range of industrial automation and process control applications. With its July 2003 acquisition of Siei, a leading manufacturer of motion control products, the GEFRAN Group now employs more than 700 people and has yearly sales of about $130 million dollars worldwide.
