Honeywell Introduces MLH Series Pressure Transducer

High performance, stability, accuracy and easy customization for demanding applications

FREEPORT, Ill., June 11, 2004 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON] Sensing and Control announces the introduction of the MLH Series of Pressure Transducers. With high performance stability and accuracy, package flexibility, a wide range of pressure options and ease of customization, it is ideal for a wide variety of demanding customer applications such as pumps and compressors, HVAC and refrigeration, measurement of hydraulic fluid pressures and off-road vehicles.

The low-cost, high-value MLH Series is the most recent addition to a comprehensive range of proven Honeywell pressure sensors. It uses the latest in ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) technology, and also employs ATF (Advanced Thick Film) technology, a proprietary process for bonding ceramic to metal that facilitates modular construction and easy customization. An all welded construction with steel wetted parts and no internal elastomers make this design extremely reliable and compatible with a wide range of fluids and gases. The MLH Series is sealed to IP 65 for use in harsh environments and complies with the CE heavy industrial EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) standard for use in areas of high RFI/EMI (Radio Frequency Interference/Electromagnetic Interference).

With a fast response time of less than 500 µs the MLH Series provides accurate, high speed pressure measurement. Reverse polarity and overvoltage protection eliminate damage caused by accidental reverse supply excitation.

The MLH Series Pressure Transducer is fully temperature compensated, calibrated and amplified. It is available in a pressure range of 50 PSIS to 8,000 PSIS and in six standard output options. It also offers 17 possible electrical terminations and 15 possible pressure connections in industry-standard, field-proven configurations.
