Pressure/Temperature Switches can be programmed onsite.

Press Release Summary:

Made of stainless steel, TED/YTED and ETTN/YTTN measuring instruments are designed for pressure and temperature control, and suit severe industrial environments.
They have 2 threshold outputs: PNP transistors or galvanic isolation. TED/YTED digital devices are suitable for vacuum and absolute or gauge pressure measurements up to 400 bar, while ETTN/YTTN range digital temperature switches can measure scale from -200 up to +400°C with accuracy of ±0.5°C.

Baumer Introduces TED and ETTN Pressure and Temperature Switches

Aarhus/Staffanstorp/Swindon, October 09, 2007. Baumer offers TED/YTED and ETTN/YTTN measuring instruments for pressure and temperature control. The totally stainless steel devices are suitable particularly for severe industrial environments.

Based on microprocessor technology, the devices of both type series can be programmed completely on site using code protected keys. They have two threshold outputs, PNP transistors or galvanic isolation. Output signal can be analogue (4 to 20 mA) or digital (RS485 Modbus).

The digital devices of the TED and YTED ranges are suitable for vacuum and absolute or gauge pressure measurements up to 400 bar. TED devices are available for many different pressure connections and as well as in a 300° swivelling version. YTED pressure switches are also offered together with safety modules as complete ATEX intrinsic safety approved systems for hazardous areas. To process the threshold, the device needs to be connected to a safety barrier placed in a non-hazardous area. The power supply to the pressure switch is via the processing modules.

ETTN and YTTN range digital temperature switches can measure a scale from -200 up to +400°C with an accuracy of ± 0.5°C. It is possible to reduce the errors due to thermal resistance of the pipe or thermowell by manually entering the process fluid temperature into the ETTN. Depending on the version, the temperature measurement is effected by a submerged probe or by surface contact. The YTTN switches are the ATEX version intrinsic safety approved for hazardous areas.
