PBS Pressure Switch with IO Link
Intelligent sensor solutions provide suppliers in plant and machine construction with significant competitive advantages. SICK now also offers the PBS electronic pressure switch with IO Link functionality, thus creating greater added value for both end-customers and system producers. Among other things, IO Link permits automatic sensor parameterisation and measurement data collection. For the PBS pressure switch, this means that, for example, any parameter changes necessary when exchanging devices can be carried out automatically within milliseconds, without any potentially erroneous manual adjustments. This results in increased plant productivity.
Up to now, pressure switches have frequently had to be installed on the exterior of plants in order to be easily accessible for adjustment. IO Link allows pressure measurement direct on the pressurised container. Therefore no additional piping to the plant exterior is necessary. This enables both simpler integration and significant cost savings.
