Sensata Technologies Introduces Low-Cost Pressure Sensor with Internal Voltage Regulation and 4-20 mA Output for the Agricultural Equipment Industry

Company to Showcase Full Range of Pressure Transducer Options at World Ag Expo

ATTLEBORO, Mass., Feb. 14 /-- Today's agricultural machinery needs to provide greater productivity and operational safety while operating under harsh conditions such as extreme temperatures, high vibration and dust- filled air. Sensata Technologies (www.sensata.com) today announced a new sensor offering that overcomes these environmentally demanding conditions, providing enhanced accuracy and reliability. The company will showcase its new 70CP series of internally voltage regulated pressure sensor products during the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, Feb. 13-15, at Pavilion D near the South Street show entrance.

The 70CP series of pressure sensors features EMI protection of up to 100v/m and typical accuracy of less than 0.5% full scale. With pressure ranges between 15 - 750 psi and a burst pressure rating of up to 4X operating pressure, this device is ideal for harsh environments such as fuel injector systems, advanced engine and equipment control systems, as well as sprayers and irrigation equipment. This new ceramic capacitive, hermetic sensor is available in a variety of pressure ports and electrical fittings.

"By continuously monitoring the demands being placed on engine and equipment systems, our new 70CP sensor automatically adjusts pump speeds and pressure levels, improving productivity, protecting equipment, delivering better fuel efficiency, and increasing overall system performance and safety," said Gregg Pestana, product manager at Sensata Technologies.

Sensata Technologies' pressure sensors come in a wide range of fittings, packaging materials, pressure ratings and electrical inputs/outputs. The company will be exhibiting at and available for comment during the World Ag Expo in Tulare, California, Feb. 13-15, at Pavilion D near the South Street show entrance.
