Pressure Sensors facilitate intake manifold engine studies.

Press Release Summary:

Series 4005A compact Pressure Sensors feature Direct Chip Technology that eliminates conventional diaphragm and exposes measuring element to medium to increase high frequency response to momentary happening data. Piezoresistive element is protected by screen and is coated for durability. Measuring ranges offered are 2, 5, 10, 50, and 100 bar with operating range of -40° to 125°C. M5 threading enables mounting in immediate vicinity of valves.

Original Press Release:

R&D Pressure Sensors are Compact

A new series of compact pressure sensors from Kistler Instrument for intake manifold engine studies have improved technology for capturing fast moving events. DCE (Direct Chip Technology) eliminates the conventional diaphragm and exposes the measuring element to the medium. This construction improvement increases the high frequency response to respond to momentary happening data. The advanced piezoresistive element is protected by a screen and is coated for durability.

The 4005A... series is available in five measuring ranges including 2, 5, 10, 50 and 100 bar. The sensor operating range is from -40 to 125 °C. The compact size and M5 threading enable mounting in the immediate vicinity of the valves. An integral
cable is available in a variety of lengths. Additional applications include non-corrosive gaseous mediums.

Kistler is a worldwide supplier of precision instrumentation for the measurement of pressure, force and acceleration serving the R&D, Industrial and OEM Communities.
