Scott Specialty Gases Introduces Single-Stage Pressure Regulator Series for High-Flow Applications



Plumsleadville, PA-Scott Specialty Gases now offers a single-stage regulator series designed for laboratory and other applications involving high flow of specialty gases in excess of 60 SCFM. Model 228 Series regulators are available in 316 stainless steel for use with corrosive gases or brass bar stock for use with noncorrosive gases. A unique balanced poppet stem design minimizes effect on delivery pressure cause by changes in inlet pressure. Threaded holes in rear of regulators also allow for convenient front panel mounting at point-of-use.

Model 228 Series regulators also feature a 316 stainless steel diaphragm, PCTFE seat, Teflon® seals and nickel-plated brass bonnet. Maximum inlet pressure is rated at 3000 psig (207 bar). Operating temperature range is between -40°F and +140°F (-40°C to +60°C). Available delivery pressure ranges for Model 228 regulators are 2 to 30 psig (0.1 to 2.1 bar), 4 to 75 psig (0.3 to 5.2 bar), 10 to 150 psi (0.7 to 10.3 bar) and 20 to 250 psig (1.4 to 17.2 bar). Choice of CGA, DIN and other cylinder connections are offered. Optional capture bonnet vent connections are also available for both stainless steel and brass versions.
