Scott Specialty Gases Introduces Tied-Diaphragm Pressure Regulators for Controlling High-Purity, Acid-Forming Gases

Plumsteadville, PA-Scott Specialty Gases recently introduced its Model 237 Series pressure regulators of compressed, acid-forming gases such as hydrogen chloride and boron trifluoride. The new regulators feature single-stage, tied-diaphragm design and are constructed of aluminum silicon bronze to effectively resist corrosion.

Model 237 regulators provide high flow capabilities for chemical process control and tube trailer unloading. They also feature stainless steel pressure gauges and a stainless steel diaphragm that is lined with Hastelloy® C-22 to protect gas purity and provide further protection against corrosion. The diaphragm and poppet are mechanically linked to provide positive shutoff control. Nozzle and filter screen are constructed of Monel®. A threaded, nickel-plated chrome bonnet allows for easy panel mounting. A bonnet vent connector is optional.

Delivery pressure ranges for Model 237 regulators are 3 to 75 psig (0.2 to 5.2 bar) or 10 to 150 psig (0.7 to 10.3 bar). Maximum inlet pressure ratings include 3000 psig (207 bar), 800 psig (55 bar) or 300 psig (21 bar). Choice of CGS, BS, DIN, JIS or NEN cylinder connections are offered. Helium Leak Rate Certification is available.
