GF Piping's Enhanced Pressure Regulator Valve Product Line Features Molded Design and Improved Flow Characteristics

TUSTIN, Calif. - May 15, 2006 - GF Piping has enhanced its line of Pressure Regulating Valves (PRV) and introduced a comprehensive new product guide that details the new offering in an easy-to-order format. Important enhancements to the line include an improved molded design for Models Type V185 and Type V186. Additionally, the Model Type V182 features a new valve body and internal design that incorporates a new piston/o-ring design to significantly improve flow characteristics.

The enhanced GF Piping Pressure Regulating Valves are offered in three design styles for either pressure reducing, retaining, or relief. Valves are available in four body materials - PVC, Beta PP (polypropylene), SYGEF® PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), and SYGEF Plus, and include threaded, IR Plus, and IR Plus/BCF Plus standard end connectors. Optional end connector types are also available.

All GF Piping Pressure Regulating Valves feature highly accurate and stable pressure control irrespective of fluctuations of inlet pressure or changes in flow rate. Depending on model selected, features and performance characteristics range from compact size to molded body and superior control characteristics. Available in sizes from ½" - 4", pressure ranges are from 7 to 150 psi. Other performance characteristics include hysteresis of 1.5 to 6.0 psi or 1.5 to 8.7 psi, and a pressure differential between inlet and outlet minimum of 14.0 psi.

"Our enhanced PRV line offers significantly improved pressure and flow characteristics at attractive market pricing," said Tom Carlson, GF Piping Product Manager. "Customers will be pleased with how easy it is to specify product mounting ends and with our large selection of in-stock inventory."

The new PRV Product Guide describes all available body materials and options, new body types for smaller size valves, seal materials, and important flow chart information integral to selecting the proper regulator for a given application. The guide also includes installation, operation and maintenance instructions and a sample application schematic. The PRV product line ordering system is configured to allow customers to specify a standard base valve or specify an alternate mounting option.

With the wide selection of body materials, end connections, and seal materials available, GF Piping's Pressure Regulating Valves are suitable for use across a diverse range of industries including automotive, electronics, food processing, manufacturing/industrial equipment, control and instrumentation, power generation, pollution control, water supply and sewage, semiconductor, and biotechnical.
GF Piping supplies a full range of plastic pipe, fittings, tubing, valves, actuators, rotameters, fusion machines, secondary containment, tank linings, heat exchangers, custom products, and sensors and instrumentation for industrial process control.
