New Pressure Monitoring Solution from SOR and Onyx Valve
Onyx Valve has partnered with SOR, Inc. for a new solution for monitoring pressure on tough applications. The device utilizes an Onyx Isolator Ring and a multi-function pressure instrument SGT® (from SOR, Inc.). The Onyx Isolator ring provides a practical, cost-effective way of obtaining accurate pressure measurements on slurries, abrasives and hard- to- handle materials. The Onyx Isolator Ring (Patented Design) is vacuum-filled at the factory with high-viscosity silicone-fluid; then permanently sealed with Onyx's Revolutionary "Module-Seal". The Onyx Isolator Ring can be used in a variety of industries such as chemical, food & beverage, mining, pulp & paper and waste water treatment. Typical applications include (but are not limited to):
- Pressure measurement of slurries, corrosives and abrasives
- Monitoring pressure on long distance pipelines to detect line breakage
The Onyx Isolator Ring is available with a Center Section made of SS316 or Carp-20; the elastomers available include Neoprene, Buna-N, EPDM, Viton and Hypalon.
The SGT® Electronic Pressure Instrument is an innovative field sensor from SOR (Static-O-Ring). This multi-function device provides two relays, local indication and a 4-20mA output and is designed for use in Class 1, Div 2 hazardous locations.
