RKC Instrument Announces New Resin Pressure Controller with Infrared Port Communication


SOUTH BEND, IN - RKC Instrument announces the new HA430/930 Series dual loop controllers with a strain gauge type resin pressure input and 24VDC transmitter power supply for direct connection to transducers. One loop is used for strain gauge
input, while the other controls temperature input. The Series, available in 1/4 and 1/8 DIN sizes, is a panel mounted type controller with a large bright LED display for easy viewing.

Featuring a high speed sampling and control time of 0.025 seconds (40Hz) with PID and other parameters settable in 1/100 units, these controllers provide stable control for improved quality of extruded products. A PDA infrared port comes standard on the controller, which allows the operator to set, change, or monitor settings using a Pocket PC. A maximum of two measuring inputs and up to five event outputs may be specified, which include various alarms or analog retransmission.

Communication capabilities include RS-232C, RS-422A, RS-485, DeviceNet or Profibus protocol.

Additional features include front panel setting of zero and span adjustments, peak hold and bottom hold, and IP65 waterproof/dustproof protection.

The HA430 and HA930 are ideal instruments for both end-users and the OEMs to control resin pressure for extrusion.
