Pressure and Process Indicators suit extrusion applications.

Press Release Summary:

Model 2290, 1/8 DIN, plug-in, pressure indicator includes 5-digit LED display, dual alarms, and pressure-unit beacons for visual confirmation of measurement. It employs strain-gage input and displays PSI, BAR, Kg/cm², and MPa. Model 2291, 1/8 DIN, plug-in, process indicator also includes 5-digit display with dual alarms and engineering pressure unit beacons. Linear inputs allow local indication of pressure/process transmitter readings. Both models have isolated, analog outputs.

Dynisco Displays New Indicator Family at NPE 2003

Franklin, Massachusetts (March 25, 2003) - Dynisco will be showcasing their new family of pressure and process indicators at NPE 2003 (North Hall Booth #5526) in Chicago, IL this June. The next generation of indicators, the 2290 and 2291, adds to the already very popular UPR700 and ATC770 family of indicators and controllers.

The 2290 is an 1/8 DIN plug-in, high stability pressure indicator designed to be used in the demanding applications of the extrusion market. It comes equipped with a five-digit LED display, dual alarms and engineering pressure unit beacons for easy visual confirmation of the pressure measurement.

It employs a strain gage input, for quick and easy hook up of a mV/V pressure transducer. No matter what the unit of pressure is, the new indicator will display PSI, BAR, Kg/cm² or MPa. If the engineering unit required is not listed or if a percentage of full scale is desired the beacons can be turned off and only a numeric representation will be displayed.

The 2291 is an 1/8 DIN plug-in, high stability process indicator designed to be used in the extrusion market as well as many other applications. It also has a five-digit display with dual alarms and engineering pressure unit beacons for easy visual confirmation of the pressure measurement. If a process measurement other than pressure is desired, the engineering beacons can be switched off, and only the process reading will be displayed.

The 2291's employ linear inputs (4 - 20 mA, 0(1) - 5 Vdc, 0(1) - 10 Vdc), which allows local indication of the pressure or process transmitter readings prior to sending the signal to the DSC or PLC. The 2291 also comes equipped with dual alarms and the same pressure engineering units as the 2290.

Both models are available with isolated analog outputs of 0 - 20 mA, 4 - 20 mA or 0 - 10 Vdc for re-transmission of the pressure or process signal. Both are also available with high speed Modbus and RS-485 communications.
