Precision Flat Work Customized for Molds and Dies


Precision flat work that can be custom manufactured for molding and stamping parts such as electronic components, medical devices, and consumer products is being introduced by Ezell Precision Tool Co. of Clearwater, Florida.

Ezell Custom Precision Flat Work features tolerances to 0.0001" and can be manufactured in sizes as small as 1/32" thick for cavity inserts to 12" wide for cavity blocks. Capable of selectively polishing, plating, and coating as required, custom flat components can be made from steels, tool steels such as M-2, A-2, H-13, and S-7, particle steels, stainless steels and copper alloys.

Types of flat work for molds includes cavity blocks with wired holes and EDM details for ejectors and runners, core blades, and blade ejector pins. For dies, Ezell can produce die and punch inserts and sections, die blocks and die stripper inserts, blanking tooling, and louver- and blade punches. Round tooling and custom core pins with tip diameters as small as 0.002" can also be made.
