Precision Brass Inserts are intended for mold-in applications.

Press Release Summary:

Designed for molding into plastics, rubber, and ceramics, MC- and MT-Series feature diamond knurling that provides resistance to tensile pull and rotational torque loads to ensure maximum holding power. Closed-end bottom of MC-Series prevents plastic flow into threads, and MT-Series is suited for thru-thread mold-in applications. Manufactured from brass (Alloy 360), both series feature close tolerance ID for positioning accuracy on core pins during mold-in process.

Tri-Star Industries, Inc. Introduces New Mold-In Precision Brass Inserts

Tri Star Industries has introduced new precision inserts for "mold-in" applications. The MC- and MT-Series inserts are designed for molding into plastics, rubber and ceramics. Aggressive diamond knurling provides high resistance to tensile pull and rotational torque loads ensuring maximum holding power.

The MC-Series inserts have a "closed-end" bottom to prevent plastic flow into the threads. The MT-Series is ideal for thru-thread mold-in applications. They both feature close tolerance ID for more accurate positioning on core pins during the mold-in process.

Manufactured from Brass (Alloy 360), both series are available in standard inch thread sizes starting from 2-56 and metric sizes from M2.0 x 0.4. Additional thread sizes and materials are available through custom design capabilities.
