New Avery Weigh-Tronix Line of Precision Balances Offers Built-In Software and Advanced Features

Fairmont, MN-June 20, 2006-Avery Weigh-Tronix, Inc., has introduced a new product line to its extensive offering of precision electronic weighing devices. The Reflex HP Series precision balances features patented force motor weighing technology for accurate results and rapid response-including advanced features and built-in Windows® Direct data input function-designed specifically for applications requiring high-precision weighing.

"The Reflex HP Series offers the most in precision balance for a wide variety of weighing applications," said George Brazis, engineer for Avery Weigh-Tronix. "An offering of built-in, easy-to-use features provides users with ultimate flexibility for their unique application."

The Reflex HP Series comes standard with built-in Windows Direct that allows information to be sent straight from the balance to a PC for simplified data collection and on-screen monitoring. The balance connects directly to the computer via a cable for easy setup and operation with no software installation required. Recorded data is compatible with standard desktop programs including Microsoft Excel®, Access® and Lotus 1-2-3.

An offering of advanced features makes the Reflex HP Series exceptionally easy to use. All models include a large, bright backlit display that produces visible results even in the dullest conditions. An analog bar graph display instantly indicates the remaining weighing capacity, which avoids overloading and wasted materials.

The Reflex HP Series is available in eight robust, high-quality constructed models with a maximum weighing capacity from 220 to 8200 grams and accurate readability to within 0.01 grams: the HP 220, HP 420, HP 620, HP 2200, HP 4200, HP 42005, HP 6200 and HP 8200. Added benefits include wipeable surfaces and detachable doors and door rails on analytical models.

An automatic calibration facility is supplied on all models with an internal calibration weight. This easy-to-use feature ensures regular calibration and accurate results every time. It can also be set to automatically adjust the balance for small changes in ambient temperature or to calibrate at a time that best suits work schedules.

The Reflex HP Series precision balances also makes it easy to comply with international standards ISO, GLP and GMP. Details of every calibration can be output to a PC or printer with the internally generated date, time, serial and model number of the balance-for complete QA traceability.

The Reflex HP Series offers superior performance and sustained precision under all conditions, making it ideal for counting, checkweighing, animal weighing, specific gravity measurement and below-balance weighing in the food and beverage, healthcare and personal products manufacturing, science research, chemical, law enforcement and pharmaceutical industries.
