Pratt & Whitney EcoPower® Engine Wash Extends to Business Jet Market
EAST HARTFORD, Conn., Oct. 11, 2011 - Pratt & Whitney has completed its first environmentally-friendly EcoPower engine wash on a Dassault Falcon 2000EX. This first engine wash signifies that this environmentally-friendly service is now available for all business jet aircraft in addition to large commercial and military aircraft. Pratt & Whitney's patented EcoPower engine wash system reduces fuel burn by as much as 1.2 percent, eliminating approximately three pounds of carbon dioxide emissions for every pound of fuel saved, while also decreasing engine gas temperature, increasing the amount of time an engine can stay on wing.
