TAWI Lifts Meet IP65 Requirements with New Design Approach

TAWI´s range of powered Protema lift carts has been extended to include a water and dust resistant lifting aid which meets the IP65 regulations on protection provided by its enclosure.

The new comer Clean Room 80 is an electric lifting aid used to lift goods up to 175 lbs and install rolls into packaging machines in the demanding environments of food processing, chemical, pharmaceutical, biological and nuclear work areas. The stainless steel CR80 is designed to meet the rigorous sanitation requirements of these manufacturing processes with smooth surfaces and a seamless design to resist particle accumulation. The hygienic construction with an opening for the drive belt straight through the chassis and all electronics safely closed in, allows for the use of alcalic solvents and hosing down. A new, very thin Gore(TM)-membrane ventilates the closed construction.

Leif Emblad, president of TAWI, explains: "In meeting the high requirements of the IP65 our philosophy has been to create a highly reliable tool that can be operated safely in difficult environments. We can guarantee long service life and provide the latest ergonomic features to encourage the everyday use of lifting aids. The CR80 is one of many new lifting equipment features developed by TAWI over the last five years. Our young team of designers is constantly growing to follow up our long-term project of creating new products within material handling, and redesigning our basic products for the future."

TAWI develops complete solutions to substitute manual lifting with well-known trademarks such as VacuMove, Protema, LR-Rail and Ergolift with the U.S. based division of TAWI located in the Chicagoland area.
