Trigger Switch Controls Power Tools

HARRISBURG, Pa., March 19 - The J1 Series Power Tool Trigger Speed Control Switch (J1 Series Switch) is designed for AC powered tools such as, drills, screwdrivers, hammer drills, impact hammers and other variable-speed tool applications. It incorporates a single-pole, single-throw switch with half-wave speed control and a bypass contact. An in-line trigger mechanism provides fine control at lower speeds. The J1 Series Switch is intended for professional grade power tools and carries an 8A/120VAC/60Hz electrical rating. The cycle life rating exceeds 50,000 operations. Screw clamp terminals are provided for incoming AC connections with spring clamp terminals for internal motor connections. The terminals accept 22-16 AWG wire. J1 Series Switches come with a "lock-on" feature which provides ergonomic benefits to the operator. With the "lock-on" feature engaged, the user does not need to grip the switch to keep it actuated. When the task is complete, the operator momentarily grips the trigger switch and the tool ceases operating. Additionally, the J1 Series Switch is equipped with a reversing feature. An adjusting wheel on the switch limits trigger travel providing speed control. The trigger actuation force is typically 12 Newtons with 22 Newtons typically required for full speed operation. The J1 Series Switches are environmentally sealed for both dust and moisture. The switches can be configured in several colors and trigger styles as well as several reversing lever styles.
