New Tennant 6650 and 6600 Power Sweepers Combines Sweeping Efficiency, Dust Control and Durability
MINNEAPOLIS, MN-February 10, 2003-Whether indoors or out, Tennant's new 6650 and 6600 Power Sweepers are easy to use and built to last. Both offer numerous features for high performance, operator comfort, maneuverability, dust control and efficiency.
User-Friendly
The 6600's control panel is easy to operate. Power steering enhances maneuverability and operation. Dual dust side skirts tightly seal the main brush door compartment to prevent dust and debris from escaping. The 6650 offers an optional SB2 auxiliary sidebrush that cleans areas not accessible to regular sweepers, including up on the curb. The 6650 also has an optional 4-inch diameter vacuum wand to pick up trash from remote locations while sweeping.
The 6650XP offers optional dual sidebrushes, increasing the sweep path to 76 inches for greater productivity in large open areas. Both units feature no-tool brush change for faster, easier maintenance.
The 6650 also transforms easy operation into an art form. A new control panel simplifies operator training and helps eliminate operator sweeping errors. One button now replaces five levers and two switches. This-button opens the hopper door, activates and lowers the main and side brushes, activates the vacuum fan and increases the engine speed to normal operating speed.
New features on the 6650 enhance operator comfort while reducing worker fatigue. A new standard floating seat with seat belt adjusts to the operator's weight and travels two inches up and down, for a smoother ride.

Both the 6600 and 6650 are designed for maximum wear and easy maintenance. An Instant Access Panel Filter allows the filter to be checked without removing any components-saving time and labor costs. An engine design with easy access-including a remote engine oil drain hose-simplifies servicing. A large hydraulic cooler and large, full-flow hydraulic oil filter keep the system cool and clean to increase motor life.
A color-coded, built-in Brush Wear Optimizer allows the operator to quickly adjust main brush for optimum performance. The same system also indicates when a new brush is needed. No more guesswork on brush replacement.
