Power Supply fits CompactPCI(R) systems.

Press Release Summary:

Model cPCI35ODC 6Ux8HP hot-swap supply is in compliance with PICMG(TM) 2.11 R1.0 Power Interface Spec and other CompactPCI standards. Delivering 350 W of continuous output power, unit supports standard PCI output voltages of +5 V, +3.3 V, +12 V, and -12 V with no minimum load requirement. Active current sharing and internal ORing diodes are included to support high availability (HA) applications requiring hot-swap performance and N+1 redundant configuration.

Original Press Release:

New 350W Power Supply For 6U CompactPCI(R) Systems

26th February, 2002, Tucson, Arizona - C&D Technologies has expanded its range of CompactPCI(R) power supplies with the addition of the 350W cPCI35ODC unit. Equipped with the 47-pin I/O connector option, the 6Ux8HP hot-swap supply is designed for full compliance with the PICMG(TM) 2.11 R1.0 Power Interface Specification as well as the underlying CompactPCI standards.

Delivering 350W of continuous output power, the cPCI35ODC supports the standard PCI output voltages of +5V, +3.3V, +12V and -12V with no minimum load requirement. Active current sharing and internal ORing diodes are included to support high availability (HA) applications requiring hot-swap performance and N+1 redundant configuration. Unlike power supplies that use FETs as output isolation devices, the cPCI35ODC employs output isolation diodes to provide legitimate fault tolerance.

This new PSU features a wide input voltage range of 36-72VDC and is designed specifically for telecom systems that require Telcordia NEBS and ETSI compliance. The open design accommodates improved airflow to facilitate thermal management.

The power supply is completely self-protecting, with overload protection on each output, over-voltage protection on the low-voltage outputs, a power limit and thermal switches for the 'Degrade' (DEG) warning signal and thermal shutdown. A red fault indicator LED is provided to identify if output voltages are not within specification, while a green power-present LED indicates that the input voltage is above the minimum requirement.

Suitable for global deployment, the cPCI35ODC PSU is approved to UL1950, CSA950 and EN60950 safety standards.

In OEM quantities the cPCI35ODC power supply is priced at under $339.
