Power Supervisor ICs have programmable delay, watchdog timer.

Press Release Summary:

Supplied in 4 x 4 mm, 20-pin QFN package, TPS386000 series supply voltage supervisors (SVSs) can monitor 4 power rails greater than 0.4 V with threshold accuracy of 0.25%. Independent programmable delay input, which can be set from 1.25 ms to 10 seconds for each supervisor channel, enables power supply sequencing. Operating with quiescent current of 12 µA, ICs offer options for open-drain, push-pull, active high, and active low reset outputs.

TI Introduces Quad Power Management Supervisor Family with Programmable Delay and Watchdog Timer

DALLAS, Nov. 11 -- Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today introduced a new family of quad supply voltage supervisors (SVSs) with programmable delay and watchdog timer, which minimize board space in today's multi-rail power supply designs. The TPS386000, TPS386020, TPS386040, and TPS386060 supervisors can monitor four power rails that are greater than 0.4 V with a threshold accuracy of 0.25 percent. This accuracy combined with an integrated watchdog timer provides system reliability for processor-based applications. The TPS386000 family of devices offer an independent programmable delay input for each supervisor channel, which can be set from 1.25 ms to 10 seconds for power supply sequencing. Order the TPS386000 evaluation module today: www.ti.com/tps386000-pr.

The TPS386000 devices operate with a very low quiescent current of 12 uA, which can help minimize system power consumption. They are designed for applications such as telecom infrastructure, networking, server/storage, industrial and analog sequencing applications.

Key features and benefits of the TPS386000 family
-- Integration of four supervisors into one IC with a threshold accuracy of 0.25 percent creates a highly integrated, accurate and small device to help minimize cost and board space
-- Programmable delay provides flexibility for use with a wide range of processors and provides power supply sequencing support
-- The low quiescent current (12 uA typical) helps minimize power consumption in the design
-- Watchdog timer enhances reliability in processor applications
-- Several options give designers flexibility to meet their system's power requirements:
-- Options for open-drain, push-pull, active high and active low reset outputs
-- Window comparator on the fourth supervisor can be used for over voltage and under voltage detection or as a fifth supervisor for monitoring a negative voltage
