Power Measurement System works in high voltage substations.

Press Release Summary:

Release C of PowerServe meets measurement and communication needs of substation SCADA/EMS applications. It allows support of DNP over Ethernet, assignable registers for Class 0 read, and transducer analog outputs via physically distributed AOC(TM) network device. Other enhancements include Modbus communications, status change triggers on digital inputs, waveform-capture event indication, and improved UCA2.0 network time-sync.

New Configurations For PowerServe(TM) Measurement System

BETHLEHEM, PA - Alstom T&D Bitronics, Inc. announces a new release for the PowerServe Measurement System. This Release C extends the range of configurations for substation applications.

The PowerServe Measurement System can be configured for advanced applications in high voltage substations by utilizing a modular design based on the CompactPCI bus. The modular design allows the substation engineer to specify or alter a configuration to meet the measurement and communication needs of a particular substation application For substation SCADA/EMS applications, Release C allows support of DNP over Ethernet, assignable registers for Class 0 read, and transducer analog outputs via a physically distributed AOCTM network device.

For substation fault recording applications, Release C now supports status change triggers on digital inputs, waveform-capture event indication, Comtrade zip files, IRIG-B inputs, and improved UCA2.0 network time-sync.

Release C now supports Schneider Electric certified Modbus/TCP and assignable registers expanding the PLC-based protection and control substation applications to open Ethernet networks. Assignable registers and assignable global data are now supported for Modbus Plus networks as well.

Pulse outputs are now supported for energy measurements along with applications requiring energy measurement certification. UCA2.0 compliance is now optional and can be easily upgraded after installation.
