The Kycon LED power jack is specially designed for applications where it is necessary to show that power is being supplied to the device through the power jack. Usage applications of the LED jack from Kycon include indication of power status or power source such as battery or DC power. Product applications for both types include portable devices such as laptop computers, CD players, and digital cameras. Depending on the PCB circuitry, the LEDs can be wired to be either dependent or independent from plug insertion.
