Larson Electronics Releases 30 KVA Three Phase 480 to Single Phase 120 and 240 Volt Power Distribution System
Kemp, Texas – Longtime leading supplier of explosion proof and industrial grade lighting equipment Larson Electronics announced the release of a 30 KVA power distribution panel system that converts three phase 480 volts AC to single phase 120 and 240 volts AC.
The MGS-30KVA-6X120-2X240 power distribution system from Larson Electronics provides a safe and effective way for operators in industrial settings to tap into and utilize power sources independently of the work area. This unit is designed to operate with 480 volts AC three phase which then steps down to 120 volts AC single phase and 240 volts AC three phase. This transformer makes 120 volts available via six outlets and 240 volts available via two outlets. Unlike many portable power distribution boxes made of plastic and utilizing thin gauge, low grade metals in their construction, this unit is designed and ruggedly constructed to withstand demanding conditions and heavy duty industrial applications. The transformer is mounted to a 1/8” thick diamond plate and the distribution assembly is mounted onto a rugged 2” square steel frame with rectangular carbon steel skid pockets and a top mounted eyelet to allow easy transport. This unit incorporates NEMA 3R panels and is ideal for use in applications such as plant maintenance, hazardous location operations, as a welding station, shows and exhibits and marine applications. These units are used in hazardous locations where external power sources are often necessary and work well in combination with explosion proof lights.
