LMC Model ZLA-O And Model U Long Stroke Power Chucks Provide The Stroke Travel Needed For Additional Stroke Applications
Logansport, IN - Logansport Matsumoto Company's (LMC) two lines of long stroke power chucks, Model ZLA-O and Model U, are specifically engineered for applications requiring additional
stroke travel. The solid center power chucks are ideal for gripping parts with a flange or cast detail that must be accommodated during holding and turning. Both lines accept standard top jaws and feature hardened and ground keyways to provide durable performance at high speeds and in heavy cutting applications.
Model ZLA-O handles parts that are tough to grip and is available in 3-jaw and 2-jaw configurations. This chuck operates at up to 3000 rpm and comes in sizes ranging from 8" to 15". The
8" chuck has a 12.2 mm (.48") jaw travel. The 10" has a 18.2 mm (.72") jaw travel. The 12" chuck provides a 22.1 mm (.87") jaw travel and the 15" chuck delivers a 23.4 mm (.92") jaw travel.
The Model U hydraulic actuated gear chucks grips a wide range of different size work pieces without any change of top tooling. It delivers up to a 4" jaw travel. This is the longest jaw travel
available in any standard power chuck line in the world.
Model U operates at up to 3000 rpm and comes in 8", 10", 12" and 15" sizes. The 8" chuck provides 50.0 mm (1.97") jaw travel. The 10" chuck provides 60.0 mm (2.36") jaw travel. The Model U
12" chuck has a 70.0 mm (2.75") jaw travel and the 15" chuck has a 100.0 mm (3.94") jaw travel. Parts for the chucks are available from stock for quick domestic delivery.
