Emerson Network Power Expands Portfolio of Mini-USB AC-DC Power Adapters
CARLSBAD, Calif. - January 6, 2009 - Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson and the global leader in enabling Business-Critical Continuity(TM), today expanded its line of DCH3 series wall-mount AC-DC power adapters with the addition of four new models (DCH3-050XX-004) that are equipped with cableless outputs to support interchangeable USB to Mini/Micro-USB 2.0 output cables. These compact power adapters feature a slim form factor and are intended for charging portable consumer electronic devices - such as PDAs, digital cameras and mobile phones - that require a 5 Vdc power supply and use Mini-USB connectors for their input.
DCH3 series AC-DC power adapters feature universal 100 to 254 Vac inputs offered in four models (US, EU, UK and recently introduced AU models), each configured with different input plugs to suit the region of the world in which they are intended to be used. In addition, all four power adapters generate a regulated 5 V output with a power capability of 3 watts and meet rigorous Energy Star Level IV efficiency standards.
The series offers comprehensive protection against overvoltage and short-circuit conditions, as well as built-in EMI filtering and extensive safety approvals including UL/cUL60950-1 and EN60950-1 VDE. The flexible power adapter series also supports a wide range of ambient operating temperatures from 0 to 45 degrees Celsius, have a best-in-class ground leakage maximum current of 10 µA and provide constant voltage/current output.
