Easy Lay-up With Cortec's Biodegradable, Cooling Loop Gator®
Cortec's patented Cooling Loop Gator® offers a fast, safe, and cost efficient treatment for cooling systems lay-up: simply add the necessary dose and recirculate for 10-12 hours before shutdown. There are no hazardous chemicals to mix or handle. Cooling Loop Gator® is a biodegradable, non-toxic powder that contains Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors (VpCI(TM)). Based on VpCI(TM) Technology, this product has the ability to diffuse through air or water towards metal surfaces forming a strong molecular layer - reaching even inaccessible/recessed areas and interior cavities. Cooling Loop Gator® is designed for seasonal, short or long term lay-up, wet and/or dry, providing excellent corrosion protection for up to 12 months. Cooling Loop Gator® is not harmful to the environment, eliminating hazardous, waste, and disposal problems.
Cortec's Cooling Loop Gator is packaged in a water-soluble PVA (polyvinyl-alcohol) bag that dissolves completely when placed into the cooling system solution. Recirculating the water for 10-12 hours assures balanced distribution of the unique Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors throughout the system. Unlike other treatments, the Cooling Loop Gator® provides corrosion protection in the liquid interface and vapor phase (above the liquid surface). Cooling Loop Gator® does not need to be removed prior to start-up and meets EPA requirements for discharge in fresh/salt water after utilized. Cortec's Cooling Loop Gator® provides multi-metal protection, including galvanized steel and yellow metals like copper and brass.
Cortec's Cooling Loop Gator® can be used as a corrosion inhibitor in the majority of water treatment programs, and it is compatible with most commercially available biocides and anti-sealants. It is nitrite, phosphate, and chromate free. Cooling Loop Gator® is available in 2.2 lb (1 kg) bags, four bags per box, as well as 50 lb, and 100 lb drums.
