New Headliner, Tyvek®, and Colored Pouch Fabrics for the Returnable Packaging Industry
Headliner, Tyvek*, and colored pouch fabrics offer customers comprehensive alternatives in dunnage materials.

Winona Lake, Indiana – In response to the returnable packaging industry's growing demand for a wider variety of fabrics, ABC Industries, Inc. has developed Headliner, Tyvek*, and colored pouch fabrics that are specially designed to transport Class A automotive finished goods. The new products position ABC'S Packa-Tex™ line as the returnable packaging industry's comprehensive solution for pouch, panel, tray liner, and divider dunnage material.
ABC's new Headliner Class-A fabric performs an average of 70% better than its leading competitor in ASTM D751 tear and tensile testing.** The 12 oz./yd.² (407 g/m²), 4-ply laminate is available in 60" (152 cm) wide rolls and features ABC's signature blue brushed tricot material on milky clear reinforced laminated vinyl. For non-standard applications, variations on ABC's headliner weight and color are available.
Utilizing the trusted durability of Tyvek, ABC has engineered a special Class-A fabric that offers low abrasion and easy cleaning. The white Tyvek on milky clear vinyl fabric is a 12 oz./yd.² (407 g/m²), 3-ply laminate offered in 60" (152 cm) wide rolls.
Rounding out the new Packa-Tex™ products is the addition of color options for pouch fabric. Available in 13 and 18 oz./yd.² (441 and 610 g/m²) weights, ABC's pouch fabric is now available in blue, kelly green, yellow, light gray, black, white, and red, in addition to standard auto gray and milky clear. The material features a comparably softer hand than its competitors for easier sewing and a gentler feel for the end user.
