New Open Design Positioning Table Features Ball or Crossed Roller Elements
PIC Design maintains its leadership in the manufacturing and distribution of positioning systems with the addition of a new open frame positioning table.
This economical open frame table is designed for applications requiring backlighting. The table is available with ball or crossed roller rolling elements that can handle loads of 225 or 450 pounds, respectively. The crossed roller version can handle heavy moments as well as heftier loads. Both versions provide smooth motion from a precision rolled lead screw and have positional accuracy and repeatability within 0.0005 inches along
the total 6-inch range. Maximum screw speeds range from 300 to 800 RPM with an acceleration of 12 inches/sec/sec depending on lead screw selected.
Tables are supplied with either a NEMA 23 motor mount and coupling, or a hand crank. These units can be easily configured into an X-Y system.
A typical table costs less than $1,000 and can be delivered in 2 weeks.
