A bench top or machine mountable positioning system that features a new tilt-and-swivel mount to permit full adjustability in all planes is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Stafford's Universal Positioning System lets users position and lock items anywhere in space and features a new ball-end shaft and clamp mount accessory which provides an unlimited range of motion. Designed to tilt, swivel, and lock in place, the versatile mount has a solid face with three drilled and tapped 10-24 mounting holes or can be custom machined to hold virtually any type of instrument, tool, or device.
Consisting of a base that attaches securely to any flat surface and a series of stepped and straight-through couplings which accept ½", ¾", and 1" shafts, Stafford's Universal Positioning System allows standard precision shafts to be inserted at 90° or parallel and accepts the tilt-and-swivel mount or other clamps and devices that fit the shafts.
