The RACO Positioning Motor

Integrated in one compact housing, a three phase AC Motor is connected to a frequency drive, controlled by an embedded microprocessor board with a speed and position encoder. This RACO drive solution enables YOU to create very precise motion profiles with very little auxiliary equipment. Up to sixteen pre-configured motion steps, this includes speed, position and torque, can be selected via four binary input signals. If more flexibility is required two analog input signals, one for speed and one for position, can be utilized. For multi axes systems, or installations with multiple linear motion applications a PROFIBUS interface version (CAN Bus in development) is available. Over one serial communication cable all pertinent information can be transferred to and from the smart motor drive system.

Attached to a RACO LM 3 or LM 4 linear belt driven actuator an inexpensive and fast x, xy or xyz positioning system can be created. Loads of a couple hundred pounds and speeds in access of 100"/ sec. can be reached.

Applications include: sorting, packaging, painting, assembly, inspection, testing cutting & fitting tables, laboratory, etc..
